Make sure you are using the sportsbook shown for the first side of the match.
YOUR FIRST MATCH
Let’s walk through the whole thing.
You do not need to understand every part of matched betting before you start. You just need to know what each wager is doing, check the details carefully, and place both sides exactly as shown.
STEP 1
Start with the promotion you actually have.
Matched betting starts with a sportsbook promotion, not with a game you want to bet on.
In Hedge11, choose the promotion type that matches what the sportsbook gave you — for example a Bonus Bet, Bet & Get offer, or Profit Boost.
Then enter the requested information so Hedge11 knows what kind of opportunity to search for.
STEP 2
Let Hedge11 find the opposing wagers.
Hedge11 searches available sportsbook odds and looks for two sides of the same event that work well together.
STEP 3
Check the matchup before placing anything.
Before you place either wager, confirm that both sides refer to the same event and the same market.
For example, if Hedge11 is showing the moneyline for Team A on one sportsbook, the opposing wager should also be the moneyline for Team B on the other sportsbook.
Do not assume two wagers are equivalent just because they involve the same teams. Spread, moneyline, totals, alternate lines, and player markets are all different.
STEP 4
Place the first wager exactly as shown.
Verify the teams, market type, and side before adding the wager.
If the odds no longer match what Hedge11 shows, refresh the calculation before continuing.
If the wager is supposed to use a Bonus Bet or Profit Boost, confirm that it is actually selected.
STEP 5
Now place the opposing wager.
Once the first wager is placed, move to the second sportsbook and place the opposing side using the stake amount Hedge11 calculated.
This second stake is usually different from the first. That is intentional. The odds determine how much needs to be placed on the opposing side.
Do not round the stake aggressively or guess at the amount. Even small changes can affect the expected result.
STEP 6
Once both wagers are placed, the hard part is over.
At this point, you are generally waiting for the event to settle. The two wagers are designed to offset one another, subject to the odds and promotion assumptions used in the calculation.
The promoted wager produces the value while the opposing cash wager loses.
The opposing wager wins while the promotional side loses.
STEP 7
Track the match in Hedge11.
Once both wagers are confirmed, add the match to your active bets so you have a record of what was placed.
That gives you one place to see the sportsbooks, stakes, event, expected result, and eventually the completed outcome.
Keeping good records matters more as you start working through multiple promotions at different sportsbooks.
THE BIGGEST BEGINNER MISTAKES
Slow down for these five things.
Double-check which book belongs to each side before entering the wager.
Make sure the two wagers oppose each other instead of accidentally backing the same result twice.
Moneyline, spread, totals, and alternate markets are not interchangeable.
If the price moves, recalculate instead of assuming the old stake still works.
Confirm the Bonus Bet or Profit Boost is actually attached before submitting the promotional wager.
Check the wager amount one final time before pressing the sportsbook’s submit button.
FIRST MATCH FAQ
A few things that feel strange the first time.
Why are the two wager amounts different?
Because the odds are different. Hedge11 calculates the opposing stake based on the prices available on both sides rather than simply placing the same dollar amount twice.
What if the odds change while I am placing the bets?
Stop and refresh the match before placing the next wager. The calculated stake is based on the odds shown when the match was created.
Should I care which team I think will win?
No. The purpose of the matched setup is to reduce dependence on your prediction of the event outcome.
Can I place the wagers in either order?
Sometimes, but promotions and fast-moving odds can make order important. Follow the Hedge11 instructions for the specific match rather than assuming the order does not matter.
